An imitation of Andrew Marvel's celebrated ballad called
Royal Resolutions, written in the reign of King Charles the
Second.

ROYAL RESOLUTIONS.
When our master, God Bless him, ascended the throne,
(So pious a monarch sure never was known)
He made a great fuss,
How that, bore among us,
He was British all over in blood and in bone;
Which delighting his subjects, they roar'd and huzza'd,
While these resolutions his majesty made.
